last night i had one of my recurring dreams: being chased by someone (i think it was a group though) the exact details are hazy as usual, but it was clear that it had the same theme. i don't know what those dreams mean to this day.

a few nights ago i had a nightmare about evil children. pure evil. this one toddler was about 2 years old and he went around cutting other children with a razor blade. and this 4 year old girl running with scissors. when i tried to stop the little girl, she put me in a midget head-lock while razor boy started slashing away at my lower back. i struggled but they possessed such hideous strength.

i woke up suddenly in a daze but relieved at the realization that it was a dream. as i blinked my eyes to fully come to an awakened state, i made out a blurry object in front of me. it's hard to see in the dark, but i could see something. what it was, i don't know. but it's not usually there. though i recall one time where i awoke from a vivid nightmare and witnessed a similar apparition. and he was shaped like a cherub, but there was something wrong with his face.

did i meet the bringer of dark and dreadful thoughts in the state between sleep and consciousness?

perhaps.

next time, i will offer him candy in exchange for peaceful slumber.
